The Capitol Theatre: located in Port Hope is Canada’s only operating “atmospheric theatre” where the interior of the theatre gives patrons the illusion of sitting in an outdoor medieval courtyard, under a blue twilight sky. The Egyptian motif clearly indicates that the design came from and Egyptian-style atmospheric theatre.
